Perampanel (Fycompa)

New Treatment for Seizures

What is perampanel?

LGS is tough. Finding information shouldn’t be. That is why we provide information about this and other medications often used in LGS. We hope you find this information useful as you navigate your LGS journey.

Perampanel (the generic name), also known as Fycompa (the brand name), is a prescription medicine used alone or with other medicines to treat focal seizures (previously called partial seizures) with or without secondarily generalized seizures in people with epilepsy. It is not yet approved for LGS but is often used by patients with LGS who have specific seizure types.
