Families of children with drug-resistant epilepsy often face challenges that go beyond seizures — such as learning difficulties, behavior struggles, or attention issues. Many parents are left asking: What’s really going on, and how can I help my child?
To address these important questions, the Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Alliance, in collaboration with the TSC Alliance, the LGS Foundation, and CHADD’s National Resource Center on ADHD, recently hosted a Power Hour with Dr. Shafali Jeste.
Dr. Jeste, a leading pediatric neurologist, explained neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) in clear, parent-friendly language and highlighted how identifying and understanding them can help families access the right supports and services.
