Volunteer

Champion our cause: Join the LGS volunteer movement!

Use your skills and strengths to make a difference for families living with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome.
Whether you can give an hour a month or lead a local event, there’s a place for you here.

Why Volunteer

  • Make an impact: Help improve lives through awareness, education, research, and family support.
  • Flexibility, based on you: Volunteer as your schedule allows-many roles are remote.
  • Build community: Join a global network of families, advocates, and allies united for change.

Ways to Get Involved

  • Community Support & Connection – Welcome and connect families through peer support, meetups, and support groups.
  • Advocacy & Awareness – Raise awareness, help request official recognition from your city or state, and advocate for better care through community and legislative action.
  • Events & Fundraising – Help make events a success – from local walks and virtual campaigns to large in-person gatherings. Support with registration, logistics, or fundraising.
  • Research & Advisory – Provide insight through surveys, focus groups, or advisory councils that shape better care.
  • Creative & Communications – Use design, writing, photography, or video skills to help tell the LGS story and spread awareness.
  • Skill-Based Projects – Lend your talents in grant writing, translation, data entry, or administrative tasks – anytime, anywhere.
What Volunteers Are Saying
“When my daughter Averi was diagnosed, I felt completely lost. The LGS Foundation and its support group helped me find true friends and families who understood our journey. I wasn’t alone anymore. Now, I’m committed to reaching other families in my community so they can find the resources and support they deserve. I’m grateful to be part of this team and to help make a difference.”
