Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, the LGS Foundation will provide a limited number of conference scholarships to individuals and families who might otherwise be unable to attend the 2026 International Family & Professional Conference.
Conference scholarships are intended to reduce financial barriers and increase access to education, connection, and support for families affected by Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS).
Eligibility: Open to U.S. and international families with a loved one diagnosed with LGS who can cover travel and non-scholarship expenses.

About the Conference
Every two years, the LGS Foundation hosts a comprehensive, multi-day educational conference that brings together families living with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) and epilepsy professionals from around the world.
The 2026 International Family & Professional Conference will welcome more than 350 attendees for three days of education, connection, and community. Sessions focus on understanding LGS, exploring current and emerging treatments, improving quality of life, navigating education and services, and connecting with others who understand the complexities of living with LGS

To allow as many families as possible to attend, the LGS Foundation may limit awards to one scholarship per family.
Scholarship FAQs
The LGS Foundation Conference Scholarship provides financial assistance to selected applicants to attend the 2026 LGS Family & Professional Conference. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, information shared in the application, and available funding.
Scholarship applications are open to U.S. and international families who have a loved one diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). Applicants must be able to attend the conference in Orlando, Florida and cover travel costs and any expenses not included in the scholarship.
Depending on the scholarship awarded, coverage may include:

Hotel accommodations for three (3) nights
(One room, Thursday–Saturday, July 9–11, 2026 only) -
Conference registration for up to four (4) people listed in your application
(Includes access to conference sessions and meals during official programming) -
Free registration for:

Children age 17 and younger

Individuals diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS)

The scholarship does not cover:

Airfare or ground transportation

Baggage fees
-
Hotel incidentals (room service, damages, personal charges)

Additional hotel nights outside of the scholarship-covered dates

Meals outside of official conference programming

The application deadline is January 31, 2026. Incomplete or late applications may not be reviewed.
If your scholarship includes lodging, the LGS Foundation will reserve your hotel room for Thursday–Saturday, July 9–11, 2026, based on the preferences you indicate in your application. Room types are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Online conference registration opens January 12, 2026, but scholarship applicants should wait to register until they receive their scholarship award letter. Scholarship notifications will be sent no later than March 15, 2026. Once awarded, registration must be completed by March 31, 2026 to confirm acceptance.
If registration or written acceptance is not received by the deadline, the scholarship may be offered to a family on the waitlist.
Yes. Additional adult guests may register separately for $250 per person if registered before May 1, 2026. This fee includes meals and conference materials; rates increase after May 1.
Families are responsible for arranging and paying for any hotel nights beyond the scholarship coverage. Instructions for booking additional nights will be provided after registration.
Yes. Scholarship recipients may be asked to support the conference through limited, family-friendly volunteer participation, depending on individual capacity and conference needs. Expectations will be shared in advance, and accommodations will be made as needed.
Camp Small Steps is a supervised, inclusive program offered Friday night only during the conference for children and families affected by Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome.
Camp Small Steps provides a safe, engaging, and accessible environment with camp-style and sensory-friendly activities designed for shared family participation. Families can indicate interest during the scholarship application and conference registration process.
