Cindy Dawson

Director of Development

For over 25 years, Cindy has journeyed nationally and globally as a nonprofit professional. Her leadership experiences include cultivating diverse and meaningful relationships, developing impactful programs, and inspiring support for national and global organizations that are changing lives for the good. Her journeys provided opportunities to engage with lives from various cultures facing many challenges, but also many opportunities, including marginalized people in Russia, women program leaders in oppressive corners of the world, women in the U.S. re-entering society after incarceration, and her local community college Foundation. She and her husband now live back in her hometown of Cleveland, TN where she assists her elderly mother. She loves Face-time chats with her two adult daughters, and with her 6-year-old grandson, Oliver. Sitting on the porch with a cup of tea while watching birds provides rest for her soul.

Cindy’s family has not been impacted by LGS, but since joining the LGS Foundation team, her heart has been. She now journeys with this team and these families, helping tell stories that increase awareness and strengthen support for efforts to improve lives impacted by this heartbreaking disease.
