DESCRIPTION:Join Us In raising awareness for the more than one million children and adults worldwide living with LGS!\nOn November 1st\, International LGS Awareness Day\, communities from around the globe come together to raise awareness for Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). \nLGS is a rare and severe form of epilepsy that usually begins in early childhood and persists into adulthood. Individuals living with LGS suffer from frequent\, often daily\, debilitating seizures\, cognitive impairment\, developmental regression\, and an increased risk of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). \nThere are currently no cures\, but there is a hopeful path forward with increased awareness of the devastating disorder! \n\n\n\n\nTogether\, we can get closer to fulfilling the hope of ending the suffering and devastation experienced by those impacted by LGS.\nClick here to learn more about how YOU can get involved with our awareness efforts!

The work will get a world premiere at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood November 7-December 15. DESCRIPTION:Join us Monday\, April 28th at 8 pm ET\nLiving with LGS is a marathon\, not a sprint.\nCaring for an adult with LGS can be every bit as demanding as caring for a child with LGS\, and the need for support is great.  Not only do the needs of the individual with LGS change in adulthood\, but\, so\, too\, do the needs of aging caregivers.  We invite parents and caregivers of adults with LGS to join us for discussion and support as together we face the ever-changing challenges associated with LGS. (Parents of adolescents are also welcome to join the support group.) \nAdult caregivers\, Geraldine and Elizabeth host a monthly support group meetup to discuss the challenges associated with caring for an adult with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. \n\nThis monthly group is available to LGS families who are members of the LGS Foundation Online Caregiver Support Community. \nTo join our online community and for login information\, please visit our group at www.facebook.com/groups/lgsfoundation
